EMP Announces the Appointment of Tunde Coker as Regional Head of West Africa

Emerging Markets Payments ("EMP"), a leading African and Middle Eastern payments company, today announces the appointment of Tunde Coker as its Regional Head of West Africa.

"EMP's Bank Processing division provides card personalization, card hosting, card processing and ATM and POS driving services to 135 banks across the MENA region. 50 of these are in West Africa, which highlights the importance of this appointment," said Hoda Shoukry, EMP Bank Processing Division's CEO.

Tunde is the former Group Chief Information Officer for Access Bank, one of Nigeria's leading banks. During his tenure, Access Bank improved its ranking from number 11 to a top 4 bank. Tunde was responsible for integrating Intercontinental Bank's systems with Access Bank.

Prior to Access Bank, Tunde was Group IT Director for the UK Ministry of Justice, Group Applications Director for BP International and Director of Digital Services for Egg Bank in the UK.

"The West Africa region has the potential to be one of the fastest growing regions in the world for electronic payments given the current low penetration of formal financial services," stated Hoda Shoukry.
