Etisalat Supports Quality Healthcare Delivery in Ekiti… donates 20KvA generator to Aramoko Ekiti General Hospital

The General Hospital, Aramoko, Ekiti State last week received a donation of a brand new 20kva generator from Etisalat Nigeria to aid its healthcare delivery services. The donation is part of the community relations initiatives of the fastest growing and most innovative telecommunication company, Etisalat Nigeria that has seen the company intervene in several key areas within its host communities across Nigeria.

Representative of the Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs, Mr. Abbas Ismail while presenting the generator in the hospital’s premises, emphasised Etisalat’s commitment to empowerment and social responsibility, especially in the areas of health and education. “We at Etisalat believe that a fine blend of good health, quality education and efficient social services will position Nigeria adequately among the committee of nations and help its citizens achieve their potentials,” he said.

Chairman, Communications Committee of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, who represents Ekiti West Federal Constituency 2, expressed appreciation to Etisalat for a timely intervention in the critical area of need in his community. “I want to say a big thank you to Etisalat for donating this generator to serve all departments in the hospital. This is a big project for all of us in Aramoko and we are glad to have Etisalat in our community,” he said.

An elated Chief Medical Director, General Hospital, Aramoko, Ekiti, Dr. Kayode Ogunjobi, expressed joy at the donation of the generator because the alternative source of power generation will help the hospital function better and save more lives of patients. According to him, “it is disheartening that in the past, we have had to use candles and lanterns to attend to patients in the hospital, but today we are glad that Etisalat has come to rescue us from that situation with this generator.”
